SSH are our ‘go to’ builders: they have done three jobs for us now and we have been delighted with all of them. Their pricing is fair and competitive, the quality of their work is fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Everyone who has been part of the team has been friendly, professional and polite – they have been easy to have around because they are respectful, so much so, we’ve missed them when they’ve gone! At the end of each day on site, they left everything tidy – a real bonus. We unreservedly recommend them for jobs large and small.

We honestly couldn’t be happier with the work carried out on our home and garden. The whole project has completely transformed the property, and we’re so pleased with how everything has turned out. From the very beginning, the team have been friendly, professional and genuinely approachable. They took the time to really understand what we wanted and listened carefully to our ideas, while also sharing their own suggestions and experience along the way. The quality of the workmanship has been brilliant. Everything has been finished to such a high standard, and the attention to detail really shows. It’s clear that the team take pride in what they do and genuinely care about getting things right.

We were recommended SSH and from the very first meeting where the plans for our extension were discussed, we were given options and suggestions for how the layout would look and work. One of the priorities for us was that the project needed to be managed from end to end and we chose SSH as they had other tradesmen that they work closely with and this meant throughout the build the plumber, electrician, kitchen fitter etc would all undertake their work in line with the timescales of the overall plan.

We are extremely happy with the final result which was delivered within the originally quoted timescales and on budget with no surprises. We would recommend SSH and if we needed any additional renovation work in the future we would definitely call SSH.

Choosing SSH to complete our project was the best decision we ever made. Steve and his team didn’t just produce quality work, they poured their expertise and dedication into every detail of our home. Their commitment to the highest standard of work was evident throughout the entire 6-month project. The whole of the SSH team made the entire process seamless and enjoyable, and most importantly we trusted them implicitly with our home. SSH aren’t just a construction company, they are a team that genuinely cares about delivering exceptional results. I could not recommend them more highly to anyone looking for a dedicated expert team for their construction needs. My partner and I are tremendously grateful for the beautiful home they have created for us and would not hesitate to use them again.

In the first quarter of 2026 SSH completed a downstairs renovation at our house in Sutton Coldfield, kitchen diner knock through, utility and downstairs toiled added into the footprint. The quality of their work has been exceptional but more importantly the frequency and quality of communication is what set them apart for me, multiple updates each day in a WhatsApp group with progress, decisions that needed our input or notification of any issues. The feedback from our neighbours who’d had challenges with building contractors from a house down the street was nothing but positive re’ the way SSH and their sub contractors left the place each day but also their courtesy in approach. Highly recommend.

We have been really impressed with SSH during our extension and renovation project, they have been professional, considerate and reliable throughout. The standard of work was very high and every effort made to ensure the extension was in keeping with the rest of the house. We were kept regularly informed and any issues were dealt with quickly with practical solutions. The whole team was very considerate and mindful of the fact that we were living in the house during all the work. We would highly recommend SSH.

We are so glad we chose SSH Construction. From start to finish they have been absolutely brilliant. Really good people with a really professional team. The job was organised seamlessly so there were no gaps and it was finished to a high standard. We felt supported through the project and it was finished in the exact timeframe that was quoted. Communication was really quick and we are so so happy with the end result, just can’t recommend them enough.

We’d seen SSH’s work on a friend of ours property and she couldn’t recommend them enough and having had our work done by SSH we are in full agreement!

The entire team have been fantastic throughout! Having a young family, they have ensured that the disruption to family life has been minimal and made adjustments so we could stay at our house for the entirety of the extensive works. Communication was excellent throughout and everyone on site was incredibly personable and kind – especially to our children. We are delighted  with the end result and are grateful to SSH for making our house into our home.

We recently used SSH Construction for a garage conversion into an office and utility space, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. They did a fantastic job planning the project from the outset, which really set it up for success. Throughout the build, all the tradesmen were polite, professional, and kept the site tidy, which we greatly appreciated. Pricing was honest and transparent from the start, with no surprises, and communication was excellent throughout – we always knew what was happening and when. The work was completed within the agreed timeline, which is a real credit to the team’s organisation and commitment. We’ve also had lots of positive comments from neighbours and friends on how amazing the house looks now, which really reflects the quality of the work delivered.
